Anuj is the Founder & CEO of Lagoon Advisory Partners and its predecessor, Lagoon Capital Partners. His experience spans 25 years in private equity, leveraged finance and corporate finance in New York, Asia, Europe and since 2008, the MENA Region. Anuj has an extensive network of relationships and transaction experience in both the developed and emerging markets, and has built successful and scalable businesses during the course of his career. Prior to setting up Lagoon Capital, Anuj was the Head of Investment Management at QInvest where he was responsible for building and managing the firm's business across private equity, public equity, fixed income and real estate. He was a member of QInvest's Executive Committee and also served as QInvest's representative to the board of Ambit (India), FIITJEE (India), Intercat Hospitality (UAE), and Al Nakheel/AG Middle East (Qatar). Previously, he served as Co-Founder and Partner of the Yucaipa Global Partnership Fund, a private equity fund formed by former US President William Jefferson Clinton and The Yucaipa Companies, where he played an integral role in all aspects of the fund's formation, fundraising, staffing, investing and portfolio management activities.
Prior to Yucaipa he spent 16 years in investment banking at CIBC, Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust and Drexel Burnham Lambert and held several Managing Director/Group Head level assignments in New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong over the course of his career. Anuj holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
